Sulfur Biomes and resources in the Minecraft Chaos Cubed Update
Where to Find Sulfur Caves
Sulfur caves are a new underground biome added to this Chaos Cubed update. These new caves in minecraft mainly consist of sulfur and cinnabar blocks. This is the only biome where sulfur cubes naturally spawn. Other forms of sulfur also spawn here, such as, sulfur springs or pools with potent sulfur underneath water.

Sulfur Springs
Sulfur springs are small springs found in the Overworld that act as surface entrances to underground Sulfur caves biomes. identifiable by the sulfur and cinnabar blocks around the pools and the toxic sulfur gas rising from the water.
The gas may appear harmless, however, it will cause the players and nearby mobs the nausea effect. including vision distortion and making movement more difficult. Beneath the spring, players can discover Sulfur Caves filled with new blocks, resources, and unique creatures. To access a sulfur cave from a sulfur spring, start digging straight down or in a staircase beneath the pool. As Sulfur Springs generate directly above Sulfur caves, you’ll eventually break into a large cave filled with colourful sulfur and cinnabar blocks.
Potent Sulfur
Potent Sulfur is a new unique block found in sulfur caves, part of the new minecraft update. This block creates a bubbling, volatile environment associated with sulfur-rich areas. When placed underwater, it generates bubble columns and releases puffs of noxious gas. This inflicts the nausea effect on players and nearby mobs. Players can create their own bubbling hot springs using these blocks underwater, but be careful of the harmful gas.
Potent Sulfur can also interact with other blocks, like geysers by placing it beneath a magma block that is submerged in water.

Sulfur Spikes
Sulfur also appears in pointed formations that naturally grow on sulfur and cinnabar blocks. This gives sulfur caves their distinctive appearance. Unlike other spikes, like pointed dripstone, sulfur spikes do not damage players or mods when stepped on. Sulfur spikes are safe to walk across, however, they can occasionally fall and damage what it lands on. This is a relatively rare event, but players should be cautious when exploring areas with large clusters of sulfur spikes overhead.
Sulfur Cubes Forms and behaviours In Chaos Cubed
In chaos cubed, Sulfur curves are passive mobs that jump around aimlessly and are susceptible to all sources of damage. Sulfur cubes can climb a climbable block like vines or ladders to continue moving. It can also absorb other types of block, although this behaviour is exclusive to the Java Edition of Minecraft.

Sulfur Cubes can Split
In this new Minecraft update, sulfur cubes exist in two sizes, small and large. When a large sulfur cube dies, it splits into two smaller sulfur cubes. Chaos cubed mimics the slime behaviour, unless it is killed by its own explosion. If a named sulfur cube splits into two, both retain the original name. Over time, small sulfur cubes grow into large ones (after 20 minutes), but players can speed their growth by feeding them slime balls, which reduce the remaining growth time. They can also prevent them from growing by feeding them a golden dandelion.

Use The Bucket To Pick Them
You can use an empty bucket to catch a large sulfur cube. If the sulfur cube has been given a custom name before being collected, the name is preserved as part of the bucket name. In Bedrock edition, the item is named “bucket of”, while in Java edition it retains only the cube’s custom name. If a sulfur cube has previously absorbed a block, the bucket item’s tooltip will display the name of the absorbed block unless the sulfur cube has a custom name.
