User Summary: Ultima V: Warriors of Destiny is the fifth game in the Ultima Series by Lord British. Using a more advanced engine than the previous Ultimas it still uses a top down icon based engine for above ground and 3D tile based engine for dungeons. Major advancements for Ultima V include NPC scheduling and advanced magical system involving both reagents and syllables of power. Lord British has disappeared on an exploration of the newly formed Underworld. Lord Blackthorn, Lord British's trusted aid and interim ruler of Britannia has been corrupted by the Shadowlords into a tyrannic despot. The Avatar's companions, Iolo and Shamino, call the Avatar back to Britannia to defeat Lord Blackthorn and find the missing monarch Lord British.
