From the introduction: It’s an exciting time to be in Jerusalem! Recently King Josiah ordered that much-needed repairs to the Temple be undertaken. Imagine the surprise of the workmen the High Priest Hilkiah discovered an ancient scroll! He read it and showed it to Shaphan, the king’s secretary. Shaphan took the scroll to the king and read it to him. Upon hearing the words of the scroll, Josiah was greatly distressed (2 Kgs 22:3-10).
