Supporting Materials (3rd, 4th, 5th Edition)

User summary: The 3rd Edition (2002) featured two additional resources: The Master Index presents a unified index for the Player's Handbook and the GM Reference into a single alphabetical list. The DOC, RTF, and HTML versions have identical content and vary only in minor formatting issues and file type. The DOC version was released as a self-extracting archive (EXE) Character Sheet (provided only in DOC format) The 4th Edition (2004) added a Character Generator for MS Windows (an executable program that requires installation via a distribution package). The 5th Edition (2007) provided updated versions of the Master Index (RTF and self-extracting DOC formats only) and the Character Sheet (DOC format). The previous Character Generator for MS Windows was replaced with a much extended Quasar RPG Referee Assistant for MS Windows (an executable program that requires installation via a distribution package).
