From the introduction: Like many fantasy worlds Spectra is pseudo‐medieval in feel, chivalrous Knights protect the week and fight for their lords, scholarly wizards study in their towers, Orcs, Goblins and other foul humanoids lurk on the edges of civilisation and Dragons, Ogres and Giants are known to terrorize towns and villages form time to time. The driving force that pervades all aspects of life and culture on Spectra, though, are the Colours. The six Colours determine things like personality, ideology, virtues, vices and motivations on both a personal level and a societal one.
