Shadows Over Whitarrows

Publisher's blurb: In recent weeks, a giant ice spider has set up its nest in a cave in an underground lake above Whitarrows. Its offspring grew rapidly, and the first spiders having reached a sufficient size left to hunt the local fauna, which quickly deserted the place. The arrival of this new predator is a real danger for the village, as it depletes resources at high speed. The scarcity of game has emboldened the arachnids, and now they hunt the hunters and trappers of Whitarrows. The intelligence of these monsters is limited, but their mother's intelligence is sufficient to consider an assault on the village. Two groups of hunters and a group of loggers did not return. Tension is rising in the village, some wanting to go into the forest in search of this new danger, of which they are unaware of the origin, and others want to wait for better weather and reinforcements in the valley. Either way, the spiders may descend on the village soon, and they must be prevented, otherwise the writings of the Order's monastery and the village will be lost. The eggs are ready to hatch, the Swarm Mother feeds them with the corpses of the villagers.
