The game was officially announced on 15th March 2010 on the EU and official PlayStation blogs, and was released on 18 March 2010 in Europe, and 25 March 2010 in the United States. Wakeboarding HD is an 'action platformer' based on the watersport Wakeboarding. It is inspired by similar arcade games of the 1990s, and features 20 levels in which the player must pull stunts and avoid hazards including mines and sharks.
