Ruination (Legend of the Wayfarer)

From the introduction: The village of Freyton is a grim place. Most of the year, its rickety hovels are battered by freezing rain. In winter, this turns into snow and ice. The people of Freytown match its surroundings - grim, weather-beaten and humourless, they eke out a living mining iron from the mountains or delivering ice to the more southern cities.
