Mondo: Das Duell takes the components from Michael Schacht's Mondo and presents two players with new challenges in a head-to-head duel. To play, a duel card is revealed that shows the current challenge – most forest, largest desert, largest landscape, etc. – and the player who meets this challenge best while following the standard placement rules for tiles wins the duel card. (Animals and volcanoes are not relevant in this game.) The first player to win two cards wins the game. Mondo: Das Duell, which consists of ten duel cards and five rule cards, is a giveaway item in German game stores for customers who purchase Mondo.
