Version 0.9 - the first publicly released iteration of the core rule set. Version 0.9b, released less than one month after 0.9, incorporated minor corrections. From the introductory materials: MAKAI is a LARP, witch stands for live action role-playing game. Unlike other LARPs MAKAI uses foam weapons, or boffer weapons, instead of rock, paper, scissors, or cards. MAKAI is also based off of anime, to be specific, MAKAI is based off of Disgaea: Hour of Darkness, and Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories.
