A game for hopeful immigrants From the introduction: Omphalos is the beautiful capital of Chiaroscuro, a tidally locked colony planet generations away from Earth. Omphalos was founded on the narrow borderland that divides the hellish side perpetually facing its sun and the frozen side perpetually facing space. Omphalos prides itself on being a perfect meritocracy, a people beyond generational and structural inequality. It is the only city on Chiaroscuro where people can live under an open sky. Some Omphalos citizens choose to homestead elsewhere on the borderlands. Everyone else must work elsewhere on the planet.
