Festival des Totes (2004)

Author's blurb: "Citizens of Niederhofen! I hereby proclaim Baron Johan von Ritterm..." The ostentatious herald's announcement is drowned out as a wagon rolls through the village center with a heavy rumble. "...von Rittermann's view that at the autumn eve of Sigmar's year, 2515, a special ceremony will be held due to a pleasing visit by the honorable Panterridder..." Another interruption as a blacksmith begins rhythmically pounding on the anvil - a soldier glares menacingly and he stops. "...Panterridderen, Sir Leonius Altheim von Arzig-Münicher, with consequence!" It was intended as an impressive crescendo of an announcement. A cold autumn wind blows across the black fields.
