Background, Contacts, Honor, and Reputation

From Introduction: This handy supplement includes a miscellany of variant rules and subsystems that affect the way a campaign works. These variants don’t change individual characters or tactics, but instead represent additional aspects of either or both non-player and player characters (such as the rules for honor) or how the game handles certain pre-game elements (such as the section on backgrounds).
