From the introduction: Los Angeles, the 9th of August, 1954. While the rest of the city is sleeping or going about its (un)lawful business, there's a party going on in a motel on Long beach. Several well connected people attend. 12:14 and the party is going well, then for 34 seconds of nightmarish horror, hell is cabin 4, in the Bates Motel. This adventure revolves around the investigation of what happened there and its implications for the entire city of Los Angeles.
