Whispers of Harlem

From the introductory sections: Charles “Flip” Wilmore is fleeing Hollywood, heading back to his hometown of Harlem after living nearly a decade in the shadow of Hollywood’s limelight. Wilmore is dead broke, fearful of what is chasing him, but wants to reestablish his old life. What he is not short on are words, plans, and one last trick. If he gets that trick right, it will save his life, career, and future. Harlem is a land of hope, where the written word has the power to change the world. […] The scenario is suitable for investigators of any experience or number but would find particular resonance with artists, patrons, writers, journalists, or those with musical backgrounds.
