Vouloir, C'est Pouvoir

From the introduction: The Marquis Louis de Montpezat has chose a most inopportune time to die. His lovely, young English wife is pregnant with their only child and if it is a daughter his estates will pass to either the Church or the State, as there will be no heir. The Marquise is liked by many, despite her appalling accent. She is sweet natured and gentle - the recent loss of her husband has made her rather withdrawn and there are fears for her health.
