Adventure Background An ancient amulet carries the last remaining ghostly spirit of a terrible necromancer. How it came into the possession of this young woman, is unknown, but the effect it has had is obvious. Seemingly possessed, the woman broke free from her village and attacked anyone who dared to stop her as she ran into the woods. An elderly person in the village recounts a dark tale about an evil man who once raised the spirits of the dead as deadly shadows and spirits to terrorize the living. They are certain they saw that amulet in their youth. They beg the party to save the young girl, and stop that amulet from getting to where, long ago, that necromancer was buried.
