Description

From publisher blurb: "A heist of a lifetime goes wrong when you are double crossed by your employer. Are you able to find out why you were sold out before the cops catch you?" "An heir to a rich family is found dead, stuffed into a carryall bag. While the police are cluelessly stumbling in the dark, the family hires you to find the killer." "The mayor of the City offers you a job: stop a journalist from writing scoops about the mayor. If during the process you happen to find out how exactly the journalist gets his material, all the better." Unsolved Cases is a collection of six case file scenarios to run for Grim Noir RPG.The case files included can be run as short, one session long, adventures or they can be built upon by the GM to create a bigger, and more complex, case. Either way each case contains a description of the mystery that needs to be solved and an outline of what is really going on behind the scenes. Each case can be broken down to the following parts: Mystery: The main focus and goal of the case. What are the investigators trying to find out or solve. What is really going on?: Who and what is causing the mystery behind the scenes. Characters: Non-player characters that play a crucial role in the mystery. Locations: Places in the City that hold clues to solve the case. Clues: Pieces of information that can be gathered by the investigators. Clues will tell what is really going on, but they might not help make the final decisions on how to solve the case. That decision is always left up to the investigators. Unsolved Cases features: Six adventure scenarios Key NPC descriptions Key Location descriptions Core Clues Case File Scenarios Included: Too Angry to Die: You are hired to find out the identity of a stalker, but something feels off about the case from the very beginning. Why ask you and not go to the police? Web of Memories: A man with amnesia is accused of thievery, but claims that he has no memory of what happened, or who he even is. The public defender’s office hires you to investigate what is really going on, and to provide proof of his innocence before the upcoming trial. Cheated: A heist of a lifetime goes wrong when you are double crossed by your employer. Are you able to find out why you were sold out before the cops catch you? Bodybag: An heir to a rich family is found dead, stuffed into a carryall bag. While the police are cluelessly stumbling in the dark, the family hires you to find the killer. Curiosity Kills the Cat: The mayor of the City offers you a job: stop a journalist from writing scoops about the mayor. If during the process you happen to find out how exactly the journalist gets his material, all the better. Interrogating the ghost of the late husband seems like the best place to start.
