From the introduction: The PCs begin the adventure in the Sacred Cauldron Inn, where they may have heard several disturbing rumors. While there, they are hired by the Magistrate to look into several more disappearances that have been plaguing the city. The PCs can investigate the "strange disappearances" in any order. Centurion Augustus, whom the PCs likely met during The Blood of Innocence, will be appointed to accompany the PCs after their first combat encounter.
