He drove himself to madness, remaining in the cellar for weeks on end, toying away with rituals he didn't understand from the ancient tome. No one knows the full truth of what happened next, but the groundskeeper gave the most accurate eyewitness account, as the only survivor of the night. He disclosed that the father, using his woodcutting axe, massacred his family. He hasn't been seen since.
