User Summary: Ultima VIII is the ninth game (there were two parts to Ultima VII) in the Ultima series by Lord British, aka. Richard Garriott. Featuring a new 3D game engine, point and click style fighting and the dreaded jumping, this game had a more arcade feel to it than any other Ultima. The Avatar has been taken by the Guardian from the ethereal void to the world of Pagan, a world that the Guardian has already subjugated. The Avatar must defeat the four Elemental Titans to gain the power needed to return to Britannia and face the Guardian.
