From the introduction: The investigators are contacted on Monday by Nick Harlow, the owner of a small recording studio in Brichester. Last Saturday night his studio was broken into and Rob Grover, his sound engineer and business partner, was murdered. Both the break in and the attack on Grover appear completely motiveless. Nothing was taken from Grover or the studio.
