User summary Tower of Mystery: A Simple Adventure Program is a type-in source code listing published in the spiral-bound book Compute!'s Guide to Adventure Games by Gary McGath, published by COMPUTE! Publications, Inc in 1984. The book includes 203 enumerated pages - the game is intended as an exemplar and is presented on pages 159 - 182 (the remainder of the book considers the process of game design and related subjects). The source code listing is presented on pages 166 - 180 and includes three "varieties" of BASIC to support quite a wide range of systems. The listing is accompanied by a discussion of the variables used and the program construction.
