Description

Deepens understanding and invites us to become aware of the problems with myths, which are the basis of social exclusion in our society, through: Evidence of some common myths Decide which myths to topple and when to do so. Reflect on the myths themselves Players topple Myths in order to collect the largest number of victory points. But watch out! The winning player must have more points from the Myths he or she has toppled than his or her own Myth points left in play, or everybody loses! TOPPLE was born out of a need to show that there are many untrue Myths found in everyday life, and that often we don’t even realise they’re there! Let’s start Toppling Myths! HOW TO PLAY In this game there are 4 kinds of cards: Myths, action cards, reaction cards and motivation cards. In your turn you can obtain energy, play a motivation card, play as many actions cards as you wish, use the special action of one of your myths and try to topple another player myth. To do so you must pay as many energy as the myth strength. Other players can use reaction ards to prevent that myth to be toppled. The objective is to have the most victory points which you can achieve in 3 ways: A) Toppling other people myth B) Achieving a motivation cards (which are kind of objectives) C) Keeping your myths. The game will end as soon as players don’t have any myths of his own in his playing area. Each player counts their score (A+B+C) and the player with most points will win. But beware, because if the winning player A+B < C everybody loses. —description from the publisher
