Thumos is an auction and bluffing card game for 2 or 4 players. You play as a hopeful Hero, striving for Glory. Travel the land with your crew of companions, conquering cities, fighting your rival and building monuments to your effigy. GOAL: Win by being the first to 3 VP or by eliminating all your opponent’s Wealth. GAMEPLAY Each round, a row of card is dealt as a shared tableau. These cards confer money, VPS and other unique abilities. Player bid for the cards in the shared tableau by playing face down cards from their hands with matching suits. Before the hidden cards are revealed, there is a combat phase: each suit counters another. Players must decide if they want to attack their opponent or pass. Afterwards, all cards are revealed, and you may use the shared tableau cards for which you have won the bid. —description from the designer
