One (or more) characters aboard the ship are affected by this storm in a way that the others are not. At first they appear to be at near death. Soon after they seem to be gaiining strength, and energy, at an exponential rate. Psionic powers develop in these characters where no previuos ones existed. These powers are growing at a frightening rate. Soon the other characters may have to make a choice......ditch their friends or become slaves.....or perhaps worse.....
