From the title page: This scenario is set in the wilds of Cambria, sometime during the reign of King Arthur. The Gamemaster may set these events any time after the founding of the Round Table, though most likely they take place during the Romance or Tournament Periods (see The Great Pendragon Campaign for reference). Gamemasters may use the pre-generated knights provided with this scenario or else drop the scenario into their own ongoing campaigns. The Player-knights are confronted with a difficult moral choice, as the object of their quest is held by an unworthy man who is also their host. Yet there are even more terrible events transpiring at the Castle of the Kite, and what starts as a simple quest for a magical sword soon presents an opportunity to sacrifice everything in the name of a boy in need—or else to descend into the darkest depths of horror and depravity.
