From the introduction: Have you ever been running a game of AD&D and suddenly find you need an NPC to help your players out of a sticky situation when you haven't prepared any? Or turned up for a gaming session and found you've left your character sheets at home? Or needed an arch-villain to give the game your running an unexpected twist? If the answer to any (or all) of these questions is yes then this work might be of some use to you. A "Rogues' Gallery" is a collection of NPCs available for a DM to use in his/her game to help or hinder the players. Many companies produce them for use in theirs and other peoples game systems.
