User summary: The Net Monstrous Compendium enumerates hundreds of fan-created monsters, many with multiple varieties. Additionally, several "official" monsters are revised or altered to provide variant versions. All entries use a standardized "stat block" and format. As with any compilation of this type, the quality of the entries varies considerably. The initial "Version 1" of the document was created and published in LaTeX format. The Follow-up "Version 2" of the document was expanded and presented in ASCII format. This version was made available for download as seven separate files or as a single "compiled" file. A DOC format of the compiled Version 2 document also was available.
