From the Introduction Every thirteen years the schismada emerge in the woods, bringing with them their madness-inducing song. This week a swarm has settled in the branches around Shandoa, a hiugh tree camp of Thudisch elves. This village is accustomed to the regular outbreaks of schismada, but they are not expecting the creatures that have come with them this time. Murslakes, cunning predators who cannot hear the maddening song of the schismadas, have descended upon Shandoa to take advantage of the situation.
