Publisher Blurb: The Lurking Fear is a solo-play Choose-Your-Own-Adventure inspired by H.P. Lovecraft's original tale of the same name. There are RPG mechanics that are inspired by Chaosium, Inc.'s Call of Cthulhu but uses a simplified variation. The adventure is designed to be simple and easy to play. There are four pre-generated characters with a basic rules page to help introduce players into the story mechanics. You will need either a d100 or two d10s to roll for percentiles, and just like many Cthulhu games, your Sanity will be a precious commodity. You are an investigator who finds themselves in the Catskills mountain range in a village called Lefferts Corner. A recent thunderstorm demolished a squatter village close by, the locals blamed the storm as an ill omen and the odd ties with the mysterious and abandoned Martense mansion. Along the way, you will learn of the hidden truths of the Martense family and the invisible fear that lurks within the shadows.
