From Introduction: If you find yourself out on the cold streets of Kulderhaven after dark, you’d best say your prayers and prepare for death. All night, every night, a monster from the ocean depths crawls its way between the homes in this once-quaint fishing village. It’s only motive: murder. If you can smell its stinking brine upon the breeze before you reach the safety of your home, there is no way to save your skin but one. You can run, but you can’t hide. Lock your doors and bar the windows. This creature only walks beneath the stars, driven by some astral force that knows nought but evil. Though it is loathe to come beneath a ceiling of any kind, it will not balk at reaching in, through any gap or hole there is, to pull you out and make fish food of your unlucky carcass.
