From the introduction: The Barony of Korhelm is a small section of land, isolated from other governments. While its neighbours would declare them backwater inbred filth, they in turn would decry them as honourless knaves and blackguards. The Barony of Korhelm has only two major features, the expansive forest known as the Korwald and the Korhelm Keep, which occupies the baronies largest township. What keeps Korhelm independent and financially afloat is the ancient quest, the Hunt for the White Stag, a mythical beast said to bestow a gift upon whoever can catch it in a hunt. There is no known rhyme or reason to predict when the next hunt will take place, only that when it does all the nobility and aspirant knights flock to the barony in hopes that they will be the ones to catch it.
