The Hollowborn

From publisher blurb: The only way to live is to consume life. A Hollowborn is a sorcerer born from corruptive essences from dark rituals, vampiric beings, the meddlings of otherworldly entities of chaos, or any number of other reasons. Their birthright is that of corruption, their magic imbued with a deteriorating energy that consumes the life force of those it affects. More powerful Hollowborns can steal a portion of this life force and use it to improve themselves while their enemies writhe and decay; though once one of these sorcerers gets a taste for the power this grants, it swiftly becomes an insatiable hunger that they cannot help but feed.
