You approached the front gates without incident. After sorting through the rubble in the collapsed tower, you discovered a trap door with stairs descending beneath. Following them, you soon entered a subterranean level of the fortress. After several hours of exploring, your group was ambushed by the minions of evil! The insuing battle was long and bloody. When you finally managed to slay the last of them and searched the area, you discovered their hidden treasure hoard. The chest was trapped, and it cost you the life of a party member. Inside, you found a small box with a latch, a pouch made of an unusual hide holding 10 stones bearing strange markings, a vial of green ointment, a pair of jet black gloves, a bottle marked Brandy, and a sword with an imp carved in it's handle.
