For tens of millennia, battles have raged across the Feywild, as the powerful and prideful archfey fought to divide the realms among themselves. Eventually the boundaries settled into four major territories: Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring. These domains, and the smaller pockets of unclaimed territory between, came to be known as the Land of the Four Courts. The bitter rivalries between Winter and Summer and between Autumn and Spring never truly subsided, but for the past fifteen hundred years, an era of relative peace has persevered.
