From the introduction: The Godless Realm is a fantasy/horror...game set in a doomed land called Kamaru. Players will be repeatedly exposed to terrifying abominations, hellish adversaries, and nightmares that exceed human comprehension. The entire point of the game is to instill a sense of tension and dread around every corner. Combat is fast and brutal, magic is dangerous to use, and human society - while still standing - is on the verge of collapsing. It's a dying world and nobody can save it. It's end is still a ways away, however, so don't feel dissuaded. There are still plenty of adventures to be had in the realm of Kamaru.
