From Introduction: Gargoyles are distinctively inhuman creatures. They do not, currently, have the ability to move through civilized communities unremarked upon. But they have plans to change this. Some gargoyle wizards have mastered the arts of illusion, and are thus able to mingle with the human masses in disguise — but only for very short periods of time.
