From the introduction: The Second Level of the dungeon is dominated by a magical, intelligent fountain called the Font of Dreams. Created by the infamous Mages Four, this fountain’s original purpose was to keep the various servitor creatures used by the mages from fighting amongst themselves by giving them instructions in their dreams.
