From the introduction: An earthquake releases a cursed race who burst forth from the bowels of the earth to plague a town built upon the ruins of their ancient city. Trapped in the town and besieged by blasphemous monstrosities, the adventurers must discover the foul heart of the monstrous horde and cut it out in order to lift the siege and save the lives of many.
