From the introduction: In the years of the last crusade some Knights Templars in search for treasures plunders an old unknown temple in Jerusalem. In their desperation they plunder some of the tombs beneath the temple. In their search they find something that was not supposed to be disturbed. An ancient tomb the temple was build above and protected. Some time later things start to happen In a small village in France. In this small community people are found killed and mutilated. As the bodies piled up, the little village is known across the whole of France. Forcing the King of France to send soldiers to stop it. It fails and more and more people are found dead, including the soldiers. Rumours start to spread about witches and the devil controlling the area. Spreading it all the way to the Vatican. The King of France has no other choice in accepting help from the Church & Inquisition in defeating and end this before it spreads to the rest of France. The inquisition accepts and send their army of men and inquisitor's to the area to reveal the evil and destroy it. The Camarilla and the leading vampires in France are worried, they have already dispatched a team of their own to find out if this is the work of vampires, and if so stop it before it reveals the masquerade they protect. But the team has gone missing and have not been heard from for a very long time. In fear of something bad has happened they try to find someone willing to investigate all of this., and if necessary cover up any links endangering the masquerade.
