From Introduction: The Committee grew out of the loosely allied group of aces that followed John Fortune to Egypt to fight the genocide of the Egyptian joker population by Egyptian authorities and the Caliph. Members come and go, but the supervision under U.N. auspices remains, now with Lohengrin replacing the departed John Fortune as Committee head.
