From the introduction: A bounty has been placed on the head of Governor Bik-Gehad, an Abyt noble within the Khoi Theocracy. The bounty is the result of Bik-Gehad’s betrayal of Skard Bael, a Bounty Hunter. After eliminating an enemy of the Abyt noble, Bik-Gehad refused to pay Bael for her services. Instead, Bik-Gehad shot Bael and left the Bounty Hunter for dead on the Scar World of Orderem.
