From the introduction: The [player characters] discover the entry portal to the Anvil of Time, an ancient complex where time travel devices were once built millennia ago. The exit portal, however, is not properly powered. The [player characters] will need to use the central device of the complex and travel through three different time periods of the past in order to realign the stones powering the device and escape the ancient complex.
