Age of Eagles (1st Edition) is Napoleonic Fire & Fury, the miniature rules you and many others have been waiting for. As the only officially authorized Napoleonic variant of the classic American Civil War rules set by Richard Hasenauer, huge battles are now possible in a system that achieves near perfect balance between historical accuracy and elegant simplicity. Units are infantry and cavalry brigades, as well as artillery batteries of between 6 and 12 guns. Each infantry stand represents 360 foot soldiers while each cavalry stand represents 180 mounted troopers. While each miniature figure counts as an average of 90 historical combatants. Ground scale is 120 yards to each inch, while all game turns represent 30 minutes of actual time. This is a “Big Battle” game where you will command multiple divisions, not battalions. Everything is included to make battles of over 150,000 combatants a playable reality. Unit data charts, Irregular units such as colorful Cossacks or steady Prussian Landwehr, lancers, armored Cuirassiers and more, are all presented in a clear and well organized format designed to appeal to Grognard and conscript alike. • Fully integrated into the original Fire & Fury with rules clarifications and updates to produce a completely new stand alone product. • Irregular forces, skirmishers, massed artillery, national doctrine and army level command-control all covered effectively and simply. • Unique Initiative and Reserve Movement phases replicate Army level Command and Control. • Some 96 pages long in addition to a two-page tables and charts sheet. The actual rules weigh in at 55 pages, bibliography 2 pages, scenarios 20 pages, Commanders and Leaders Data Charts 3 pages, Unit Data Charts 9 pages. • Spiral bound with full color front and back cover, black and white interior with artwork by the incomparable Edouard Detaille. • Graphics, tables and charts by original Fire & Fury author Richard Hasenauer, based on his original artwork as used in ACW Fire & Fury and other fine systems. • Uses popular basing system, so no rebasing of figures required. • Includes three scenarios – Austerlitz (1805), Dresden (1813) and Quatre Bras (1815). • Unique and quick black undercoat painting instructions included. • Original price $ 30.00 US. - description provided by publisher
