User Summary Ténèbres is a French fantasy text adventure modelled after choose-your-own-adventure gamebooks like the Fighting Fantasy series. Written by Patrick Leclercq, it tells the story of a knight's quest to free a princess. The game is split in different chapters identified by the different graphics around the main text area. If the player made a bad choice and the character died, the player was sent back to the beginning of the chapter, allowing the game to be completed in only a few hours.
