Each Teamwork Power-ups supplement is built around a theme and designed to spark the imagination of the Game Master and players alike. The mechanics herein are not necessarily new rules, but instead innovative uses of existing game mechanics to expand the potential and scope of play for the Team. Teamwork Power-Ups focus on evoking those moments in comic books where two heroes might use their powers simultaneously to create a new and innovative third effect. Comics are full of these, taking forms such as toss ball specials (when a strong hero hurls a scrappy warrior at a foe), combined optical and shattering blasts, or laser beans projected off an ally’s shield. To take an example of two heroes, a combined power could be the Mystic archetype using their Spellcasting to charge the Crime Fighter’s boomerang, creating a glowing, swirling projectile.
