From the introduction: This system relies on a balance between Stats, Skills, and Abilities (all of which are purchased with experience). Stats are used to determine the strength, speed, intelligence, and Magic of characters. Skills add to the player’s chance of succeeding more specific attempted actions. Abilities are purchased with experience points just like Stats and Skills, but they have higher requirements and cannot be leveled up.
