Summary An open ended game that combines several strategy genres into one, and features original game mechanics such as relative technological advancement, dynamically changing terrain, and groups/businesses/governments that can change hands through different methods such as stock trading and voting. Though war and crime are both included, the game focuses most on finance, industry, culture, and politics. Since players only control smaller groups or subgroups that fill specific various roles it is very hard for a player to dominate any region single-handedly. This is in contrast to other strategy games where a single player controls all aspects of one large civilization or company, in Tactical Overload this is usually too overwhelming to do alone.
