From publisher blurb: System Failure is a story roleplaying game about footsoldier robots in a distant future’s apocalyptic world attempting to topple the Protocore, thereby ‘freeing’ all other robots from their directives. Going off the grid, they must use human batteries as their power source. Each human holds the potential of one thousand hydrogen bombs. Or, in these particular robots’ cases: one week of power. But it’s only a matter of time before the whole world finds out that they’ve been here all along… Each game in the Protocol series is zero-prep for 3 or more players. The game length is exponentially long, so games with more players take more time to complete. The Protocol Series requires a deck of poker cards as well as tokens to track drama points.
